Jarrow Roofing travel to Team Northumbria tonight with Richie McLoughlin calling for his side to match the workrate of the opposition for his team to claim all three Northern League Division 1 points.

The Roofers have endured a difficult, injury-hit, season so far but are desperate to head into Saturday’s FA Vase tie at Eccleshill United with a morale-boosting win.

“A hard game awaits us against a well trained and well organised team who are full of running and have picked up some good results so far this season,” said the Roofing supremo.

“We need to win the 50/50 balls, something we aren’t doing at the moment, and take better care of the ball.”

McLoughlin has watched his Roofers turn in some disjointed performances of late, and with Team North picking up a 2-0 away win at Newton Aycliffe at the weekend while Roofing were unable to break down Billingham Synthonia, who claimed their first point of the season at Boldon in a 1-1 draw, the joint boss has called for his team to “raise their game and cause the right kind of problems” at Coach Lane in the 7.45pm kick off.

A reminder also that places are still available on the coach to Eccleshill on Saturday for the first qualifying round match in the FA Vase. The coach will leave the Shack at 10am for the trip to the outskirts of Bradford and seats are available from Richie McLoughlin for £15 per person.
